Dr. Sabitu Sa’adu Da’u, an environmental waste management expert representing Quest Environmental Solution, emphasized the importance of establishing a waste processing plant that is culturally appropriate for the community. He noted that the focus should be on daily waste generation as a critical factor in recycling and composting programs, rather than solely on infrastructure and equipment.
Dr. Sabitu expressed his firm’s willingness to support Kano-ACReSAL in achieving its noble goals for the benefit of local communities and the state as a whole. “Our commitment is to work collaboratively with Kano-ACReSAL to implement effective waste management solutions that will positively impact the environment and community livelihoods,” he stated.
In addition to the compost production presentation, Mr. Ja’afar M.B. Umar from Agribusiness and Technical Services Consultancy provided insights on greenhouse technology, discussing various types and their uses. His presentation highlighted the potential benefits of greenhouse management in enhancing agricultural productivity and sustainability.
The meetings reflect Kano-ACReSAL’s dedication to fostering sustainable agricultural practices and improving community resilience through innovative solutions in waste management and greenhouse technology.
