Kano-ACReSAL Organizes Training on Gender-Based Violence for Project Staff

Kano, Nigeria – In a proactive effort to create a conducive and safe working environment for its project staff, Kano-ACReSAL, in collaboration with its Focal NGO (FONGO), organized a training session focused on Gender-Based Violence (GBV). The session took place today at the conference hall of the office.

Facilitated by Miss Hafsat Aminu Adhama, the Senior Special Advisor to the State Government on Girl Child Education, the training aimed to enhance the knowledge and understanding of project staff regarding the concept of Gender-Based Violence and the appropriate response mechanisms to such situations.

The session’s highlights included discussions on strategies to foster a safer and more supportive working environment, ultimately aimed at enhancing productivity and development within the project framework. Participants engaged in interactive discussions and brainstorming sessions to identify practical measures that can be implemented to address GBV and promote a culture of respect and safety in the workplace.
