Kano-ACReSAL Project CRF Team Visits District Head of Gwale LGA for Royal Blessings

Kano, Nigeria – The Community Revolving Fund (CRF) team of the Kano-ACReSAL project, led by State Project Coordinator Dr. Dahir Muhammad Hashim, paid a courtesy visit today to the palace of Alhaji Yahaya Inuwa Abbas, the District Head of Gwale Local Government Area (LGA), known as Dan-Galadiman Kano. The purpose of the visit was to seek royal blessings for the successful implementation of the CRF scheme in Kano State.

During the visit, Dr. Dahir provided the District Head with updates on the key milestones achieved in accessing the CRF for various beneficiary communities. He emphasized the importance of utilizing these funds purposefully to benefit a diverse range of community members, thereby enhancing overall state welfare.

Dr. Dahir commended the Kano State Government, under the leadership of Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, for its unwavering support and commitment to the CRF scheme, which is set to significantly improve the livelihoods of many communities across the state. He noted that the project has implemented rigorous training and capacity-building initiatives designed to educate beneficiary groups regarding their specific roles and responsibilities aligned with the project’s objectives.

“Our goal is to empower communities across the 20 participating states through the agricultural value chain. These achievements would not have been possible without the supportive environment created by the Kano State Government,” Dr. Dahir explained, highlighting the collaborative effort between the project and local governance.

In his response, District Head Alhaji Yahaya Inuwa Abbas expressed his appreciation for the ongoing efforts to uplift local communities. He praised the Kano State Government’s dedication to improving the welfare of its citizens and called on beneficiaries to utilize the funds responsibly for their intended purposes. He assured the project team of his continued support in monitoring the progress of beneficiaries, stressing the importance of transparency and accountability for the scheme’s success.

The gathering was attended by members of the Local Government Project Management Committee (LGPMC), Community Revolving Fund Management Committee (CRFMC), Board of Trustees (BOT), and the CRF team from the State Project Management Unit (SPMU), alongside key community leaders.

The CRF initiative reflects Kano-ACReSAL’s broader commitment to fostering economic empowerment and resilience within local communities, contributing toward sustainable development in the region.
