Kano Environment Commissioner Inspects Verification Exercise for Bulbula-Gayawa Erosion Control Project

Kano, April 16, 2025 — Dr. Dahiru Muhammad Hashim, Kano State Commissioner for Environment and Climate Change and Chairman of the State Steering Committee (SSC) for the Kano-ACReSAL project, today conducted an inspection tour of the verification, validation, and registration site for Project Affected Persons (PAPs) in the Bulbula-Gayawa community.

Accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Land and Physical Planning, Hon. Abduljabbar Umar, the Ministry of Works, Engr. Marwan Ahmad, as well as the project contractor, Dr. Dahiru reviewed the site to familiarize the team with the scope of work and the communities affected by the upcoming erosion control measures in Nasarawa Local Government Area.

This exercise forms a vital part of the implementation process for the Bulbula-Gayawa Erosion Control Project, aimed at reducing environmental degradation and enhancing community resilience.

Under the banner “Greening the environment, saving lives,” ACReSAL continues its commitment to sustainable development and community well-being in Kano State.
