The "Catch them young " initiative embedded in the Kano-ACReSAL's Climate Change Education sensitisation and awareness creation took place today at the Government Technical College Ungogo.

The activity which is part of the Kano-ACReSAL’s efforts to instill environmental consciousness among the people leveraging the opportunity to nurture young stars to grow up relating positively with their environment, is perceived by the majority of the students as timely and a welcome development, considering the level of enthusiasm and willingness to support the cause demonstrated across all the schools visited.

Addressing participants during the session, the Acting Project Coordinator Dr. Abdulhamid Bala urged the students to make use of the knowledge and experience gained, and shoulder the responsibility of inspiring their peers, families and communities towards realising a sustainable environment. In his closing remarks the Vice Principal Principal GTC Ungogo Malam Sani Sulaiman commended Kano-ACReSAL for considering their school to participate in this noble cause, assuring their commitment to the success of Climate Change Champion club in the school.
