Kano Communities Receive Training on Conflict Resolution Techniques

Kano, March 13, 2025 — Communities in Fajewa (Takai LGA), Yartiti (Shanono LGA), and Bulbula-Gayawa (Nasarawa LGA) have successfully completed a training session on Early Warning and Early Response (EWER) techniques aimed at conflict resolution.

The training was designed to bolster the capacity of community leaders to identify the root causes of conflicts and implement effective, sustainable solutions that promote peace and development. Participants were carefully chosen based on their roles and responsibilities within their communities.

Facilitated by Kano-ACReSAL staff—including Zainab Jaafar Baba, Social Livelihood/Safeguard Officer; Aminu Gidado Yusha’u, Monitoring & Evaluation Officer; and Maryam Abdulqadir, Project Communication Officer—the session served as a key step-down training process. It was part of the broader “Resolving the Roots of Conflict: ACReSAL’s Innovative Approach for Sustainable Peace” initiative, aimed at fostering peaceful coexistence at the community level.
