Office of the Head of Civil Service Calls for Active Participation in Tree Planting Initiative

The Head of Civil Service, Alhaji Abdullahi Musa, has called on top officials from the state's ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs) to engage in the planting and care of 50,000 seedlings provided by the Kano-ACReSAL project. This effort is part of the Kano State Government's 3 Million Trees Planting (3MTP) crusade under the leadership of His Excellency Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf.

The Head of Civil Service, Alhaji Abdullahi Musa, today urged top officials within the state’s ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs) to actively participate in the planting and custodianship of 50,000 seedlings recently allocated by the Kano-ACReSAL project. This initiative is part of the broader 3 Million Trees Planting (3MTP) crusade initiated by the Kano State Government under the leadership of His Excellency Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf.

During the seedling presentation, Dr. Dahir Muhammad Hashim expressed his satisfaction in meeting the Head of Service’s request for the distribution of seedlings across the state’s MDAs, emphasizing the importance of leadership in this environmental effort. A total of 10,000 seedlings are set to be planted across 160 MDAs.

Alhaji Musa encouraged Permanent Secretaries, Directors, and other senior officials, as well as junior staff, to engage fully in this exercise and take responsibility for the care of the planted trees. Dr. Hashim highlighted that fostering ownership of the trees is crucial for success, describing the project as a community-driven initiative aimed at promoting environmental preservation and enhancing development for Kano State’s residents.
