Kano-ACReSAL Project Coordinator Visits District Head of Madobi to Discuss Community Revolving Fund Initiatives

Kano, Nigeria – Dr. Dahir Muhammad Hashim, the State Project Coordinator of the Kano-ACReSAL project, led a team from the Community Revolving Fund (CRF) on a courtesy visit to the palace of the District Head of Madobi, Alhaji Baba Musa Saleh, also known as the Maji-Dadin Kano. The visit was aimed at familiarizing the District Head with the government's commitment to enhancing the livelihoods of local communities through CRF initiatives.

During the visit, Dr. Dahir announced that the CRF team had successfully completed key implementation steps necessary for community groups to access loans. He emphasized the importance of presenting these initiatives to local leadership for guidance on the effective utilization of resources.

“The current administration under His Excellency, Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, is dedicated to creating opportunities for our citizens to become self-reliant and productive,” Dr. Dahir stated.

In response, Alhaji Baba Musa Saleh praised the government for providing this opportunity and assured the project team of his commitment to ensuring that beneficiaries utilize the loans sustainably. He encouraged the community to set a positive example with the CRF scheme and leave a lasting legacy for future beneficiaries.

The District Head also took the opportunity to request Kano-ACReSAL to consider including Madobi in upcoming development projects, particularly highlighting the need for irrigation facilities due to the community’s location along the Challawa Gauge Dam.

The attendance composed of the CRF core team from the State Project Management Unit, LGPMC, CIGs, CRFMC, CIGs, BOT and traditional Leaders.
